Ingredients
  • Grated coconut- ½ cup
  • Green chili- 1
  • Raw mango, diced- ½ of a mango
  • Ginger- 1-inch slice
  • Small onion- 1 or ½ of a large shallot
  • Kashmiri chili powder- ½ tsp
  • Salt- 1 tsp
Instructions
  1. To a blender jar, add all the above mentioned ingredients, add very little water & grind to a coarse paste.
  2. Traditionally, chammanthi is ground in a stone grinder or ammikallu.
  3. This can be enjoyed with rice.
  4. If you don't have raw mango, 1-inch slice tamarind can be added.
