Fuljar Soda, Kerala’s trending summer drink of 2019…
Kerala, India has tropical weather and summer can get very hot. Every year, a new summer drink will be introduced in the juice bars and will capture everyone’s attention. The much talked about and tried summer drink of 2019 has been fuljar soda, it is a frothy drink. After watching a few videos on Youtube, I was fascinated and without any second thoughts, I went ahead and made homemade fuljar soda.
Essentially, in a shot glass-a concoction is made with a few fresh ingredients and the shot glass is dropped into a large glass filled with soda. As soon as the shot glass is dropped, it gets frothy and you have to start gulping it down. You gotta enjoy this drink without taking any breaks which can be tough as all kinds of flavor will literally dance in your mouth 😀 You will feel the sweet, tangy and heat in your mouth.
Quite an amazing drink, the lime-mint concoction is the original flavor. However, many different fruit flavors can also be added to make it exciting.
I tried the lime-mint concoction and strawberry concoction. Lime-mint has an intense taste while strawberry has a mild sweet taste. My personal favorite is strawberry fuljar soda 🙂
This is a perfect drink for your summer backyard parties and has to be made in the backyard or outside. As the drink gets frothy, it will overflow. To be mess-free, make fuljar soda outside the house.
