Ingredients
- Chicken - ½ kg
- Chili powder - 2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 2 tsp
- Jeera powder - ½ tsp
- Coconut Milk - 1 cup
- Beaten Curd - ½ cup
- Saffron red color a pinch
- Oil - 4 tbsp
- Salt
To marinate
- Cornflour - 2 tsp
- Ginger+Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
- Salt as per taste
- Saffron red food color - a pinch
To grind (make into fine paste)
- Green chilies - 2
- Ginger+Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
To decorate
- Onion - 2 fried (transparent consistency)
- Green Chilies split - 5
- Curry Leaves
Instructions
- Marinate chicken pieces with cornflour, salt, ginger+garlic paste and Saffron red color for 15 minutes.
- Half fry the chicken i.e till the water in the chicken gets absorbed.
- Heat oil in a cooking vessel and add the ground paste. Fry it well.
- Add chili powder, jeera powder, coriander powder. Combine well.
- Add coconut milk and salt.
- When it boils, add fried chicken and allow to cook till the chicken gets tender.
- Add curd and food color. Mix well.
- Decorate with fried onions, green chilies and curry leaves.
- Close the lid and simmer for 5 mins.
- Serve with Paratta, Pathiri or Tandoor Naan
