These are the best-tasting chicken wings, tastes better than restaurant style. We can enjoy these wings without much guilt, these are air-fried & absolutely not fried. This is my favorite recipe & turns out perfect every single time.
I’ve air-fried the wings in my Instant Pot air fryer. I swear this is the only recipe you’ll need & will turn into your favorite recipe.

Ingredients
- Chicken wings- 16, split wings
For making flour mix
- All-purpose flour- ½ cup
- Paprika- 1 tsp
- Chili powder- ½ tsp (or add ¼ tsp cayenne pepper)
- Salt- 1½ tsp
For making sauce
- Butter, unsalted- 2 tbsp
- Hot sauce- ½ cup
- Garlic powder- ½ tsp
- Ground black pepper- a few pinches
Instructions
- I've taken 16 split chicken wings.
- Very important step: Pat dry the wings well using paper towel.
- In a bowl, combine all the ingredients for making the flour mix.
- Coat each wing in the flour spice mix, place them in the bowl.
- There will be some flour mix left, keep that aside.
- Very important step: Let the chicken wings rest for an hour. Don't skip this step.
- I've used Instant Pot duo crisp & air fryer, place the stainless steel pot in the main pot.
- Place the air fryer basket in the stainless steel pot.
- Place the broil tray into the air fryer basket.
- Line the broil tray with parchment paper. Clean up will be easy.
- After an hour long resting, coat the chicken wings again with the flour mix.
- Place the wings on the parchment paper. Don't stack them up.
- If you have more wings, air fry in batches.
- Spray with non-stick cooking spray on the wings.
- Close the pot with the air fryer lid.
- Select air fry setting, temperature 375 F, time 25 minutes.
- In the meantime, let's make the sauce.
- Place a saucepan over medium heat, add butter let melt.
- Add the hot sauce. Based on your heat level add mild, medium or hot sauce.
- Add garlic powder & ground black pepper, combine well.
- Cook the sauce till it starts to boil.
- Remove the pan from the heat & keep it covered.
- After 25 minutes of air frying, open the lid.
- Flip the wings over.
- Close the pot with the air fryer lid.
- Select air fry setting, temperature 400 F, time 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes of air frying, open the lid.
- Chicken wings will be crispy & juicy.
- Transfer the wings to a large bowl.
- Pour the hot sauce over the wings, toss them in the sauce. Let the sauce coat evenly.
- Enjoy the wings right away that's when it will be crispy, along with celery sticks.
