Asian Style Beef Strips Stir Fry With Green & Red Peppers

Asian style beef & pepper stir fry…

Whenever I buy beef strips I end up making this dish. I tried my best to make something different with the beef strips but in vain. Stir-fried beef along with green & red peppers and Asian sauces, a delectable dish.

Feel free to customize the vegetables or sauce to your liking. It’s a versatile dish that allows for plenty of variations.

Enjoy with rice or noodles.

Ingredients
For stir-frying beef strips
  • Beef strips- ½ Kg or 1 lb
  • Soy sauce- 2 tbsp
  • Hoisin sauce- 2 tbsp
  • Ground black pepper- ½ tsp
For stir-frying veggies
  • Sesame oil- 1 tbsp
  • Garlic, sliced- 3 cloves
  • Ginger, sliced- 2-inch slice
  • Dried red chilies, halved- 3
  • Onion, sliced- 1
  • Green pepper, sliced- 1
  • Red pepper, sliced- 1
  • Soy sauce- 2 tbsp
  • Hoisin sauce- 2 tbsp
  • Oyster sauce- 1 tbsp
  • Dark soy sauce- 1 tbsp
  • Cilantro, chopped- ¼ cup
  • White sesame seeds- 1 tbsp
  • Sesame oil- ½ tbsp
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, add beef strips, soy sauce, hoisin sauce & ground black pepper, combine well. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Place a wok over medium heat, add the beef strips & cook covered till the beef has turned tender.
  3. Open the lid, let all the liquid dry off, increase the heat to high & stir fry till the beef turns light brown.
  4. Transfer the beef to a bowl, keep it aside.
  5. To the same wok, add sesame oil.
  6. Add ginger & garlic, saute till they turn light brown.
  7. Add dried red chilies, saute for a few seconds.
  8. Add sliced onions, saute for 2 minutes.
  9. Add green & red pepper, saute till they turn slightly soft.
  10. Add soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce & dark soy sauce, combine well.
  11. Stir fry for 3 minutes.
  12. Add the cooked beef strips, stir-fry everything over high heat for 2 minutes.
  13. Add chopped cilantro, white sesame seeds & sesame oil, and stir fry for 2 minutes.
  14. Take the wok off the heat.
  15. Serve in a bowl, enjoy with steamed rice or noodles.
