Here are the dishes that I make often in the Instant pot, all of them can be made in just 5 minutes of pressure cooking.

Hard Boiled Eggs

Instructions
- Turn on the Instant Pot.
- Add ½ cup water into the stainless steel pot.
- Place the trivet on the water.
- Place eggs on the trivet.
- Close with the lid.
- Turn on Steam Mode.
- Set the Time to 5 minutes. High pressure.
- After 5 minutes steam cooking, do a quick pressure release.
- Open the lid.
- Using a tong take the eggs out of the stainless steel pot.
- Immediately immerse the eggs in a bowl filled with cold water.
- This is to stop the cooking of the eggs, also helps to peel off the shells easily.
- Let the eggs rest in cold water for 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes, peel of the shell.
- Rinse the shelled eggs under running water.
- Season with ground pepper and salt, enjoy for breakfast or with any meal.
Basmati Rice

Ingredients
- Basmati Rice- 2 cups
- Water- 2¼ cups
- Salt- ¼ tsp
Instructions
- Turn on the Instant Pot.
- Rinse the basmati rice take in a strainer under running water.
- Add the rice to the stainless steel pot.
- Add water.
- :1 ratio rice:water will make crisp rice.
- I like soft rice, hence adding ¼ cup more water. For 2 cups rice add 2¼ cups water.
- Close with the lid.
- Turn on pressure cook mode.
- Set time to 5 minutes at high pressure.
- After 5 minutes of pressure cooking, do a quick pressure release.
- Open the lid.
- Fluff the rice with a fork, you will have soft and well cooked basmati rice.
- Serve along with your favorite curry.

- Chicken breast- 1 or 2
- Ground pepper- a few pinches
- Salt- a few pinches
- Water- 2 cups
Instructions
- Turn on the Instant Pot.
- If the chicken breast is frozen, defrost before adding to the pot.
- Season the chicken with ground pepper and salt.
- Place the seasoned chicken breast in the stainless steel pot.
- Add water.
- Close with the lid.
- Turn on Pressure cook mode.
- Set the time to 5 minutes at high pressure.
- After 5 minutes of pressure cooking, do a quick pressure release.
- Take the chicken out of the pot.
- You can shred or dice up the chicken; make into sandwich, add to salads, pastas, stir fry with noodles, make pita or tortilla wrap etc.
- Save the chicken stock for making sweet corn chicken soup.

- Chicken stock- 1 cup (stock from cooking chicken breast)
- Cream style corn- 1 can, 400 mL
- Soy Sauce- 1 tbsp
- Ground pepper- ¼ tsp
- Green onions, chopped- 2 stalks
- Cilantro, chopped- ¼ cup
- Salt- ½ to 1 tsp
Instructions
- Use the chicken stock that's left after cooking the chicken breast.
- Into the stainless steel pot, add all the ingredients. Combine well.
- Close the pot with the lid.
- Turn on Pressure cook mode. Set the time to 5 minutes at high pressure.
- After 5 minutes of cooking, do a quick pressure release.
- Open the lid.
