Well, most of the granola bars claim to be healthy even after being packed with sugar, corn syrup and not so healthy preservatives. I just paused for a second and pondered: Am I really being smart by intaking these store bought granola bars? The answer was obvious.<\/p>\n<p>And there I was stuck with the idea of making homemade granola bars.\u00a0I had no clue how I was going to make it, so I googled for some recipe ideas. After going through a few recipes, I went straight to my kitchen and gave a shot at making granola bars in my kitchen with no particular recipe in mind.<\/p>\n<p>Before I knew, I was seen enjoying homemade granola bars. Oh yeah, it was so darn easy to make and the only thing I had to do was to combine all the ingredients together and to pop it in the oven. After I had a bite of it, I couldn&#8217;t resist screaming: Are you\u00a0kidding\u00a0me??? I have never thought that granola bars could be made so effortlessly, which tasted exactly like the store bought ones and it was way too healthy!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Homemade Chewy Granola Bars:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oats, old fashioned or Instant- 1 1\/2 cups<\/li>\n<li>Egg-1<\/li>\n<li>Egg white- of 1 egg<\/li>\n<li>Brown sugar- 3\/4 cup<\/li>\n<li>Vanilla extract- 1 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Ground Cinnamon &#8211; 1tsp<\/li>\n<li>All purpose Flour- 1tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Salt- 2 pinches<\/li>\n<li>Raisins or dried cranberries- 1\/2 cup<\/li>\n<li>Walnuts or your favorite nuts, crushed- 1\/4 cup<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instruction<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Preheat oven at 350 F or 176 C.<\/li>\n<li>Spread the oats evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake it for 10 minutes or till it starts to turn golden in color.
