There a few dishes I always end up making with tapioca, Kerala style tapioca puzhukku- cooked with ground coconut &amp; boiled tapioca stir fried with tempering or tadka. salt.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Close the pot with the lid.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Select Pressure cook setting, set time to 10 minutes at high pressure.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">If you don&#8217;t have an Instant Pot, cook over stovetop: Boil water in a saucepan, add the tapioca &amp; cook till fork tender. Don&#8217;t over cook till mashed.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">After 10 minutes of pressure cooking, let the pressure release naturally for 5 minutes &amp; then do a quick pressure release.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Open the lid, the tapioca will be cooked perfectly.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Drain the liquid in the pot &amp; keep the tapioca aside.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Place a clay pan over medium heat. Or use a regular saucepan.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add coconut oil, let turn hot.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add mustard seeds, let splutter.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add dried red chilies &amp; curry leaves, saute for a few seconds.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add small onions or shallots, ginger-garlic, green onions, season with 1\/2 tsp salt.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Cook till onions turn light golden in color.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add tomato chopped, combine well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Cook covered till tomatoes have mashed up.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the spices, combine well &amp; cook for a minute.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the cooked tapioca, gently combine well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Don&#8217;t mash the tapioca.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add 1\/2 cup warm water, mix well &amp; cook for 2 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add coconut milk. gently combine well &amp; cook for 2 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Don&#8217;t let the coconut milk come to a boil.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Garnish with curry leaves.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Take the clay pan off the heat &amp; keep it covered.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">This tapioca korma can be enjoyed with fish curry &amp; rice, I had it with pan fried sea bass fish.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Tastes rich, creamy &amp; delicious, enjoy!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERNutrition\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"endeasyrecipe\" style=\"display: none;\">3.5.3251<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tapioca-Kappa masala cooked in coconut milk, delicious&#8230; Tapioca is a staple in Kerala &amp; a variety of dishes can be made with it.
