Whoever tried this dish loved it & this recipe went viral. I watched a few reels on Insta & of course the name Japan chicken got me curious. Not sure how this dish got the name Japan chicken, maybe the person who came up with this recipe loves Japan & hence the name.

It’s a simple recipe that’s made with very few simple ingredients. I tried this in my kitchen, my hubs & I enjoyed it. I truly loved the addition of garlic & green chilies, which imparted a nice garlicky flavor & heat to this dish. The sauce is quite similar to making the white sauce that’s popular in French cuisine without the addition of flour & cheese. In this dish, ground cashew nuts are added which made this dish incredibly rich & creamy. I wouldn’t add cheese to this, even without cheese tasted delish.

Can be enjoyed as an appetizer or with basmati rice, pasta, noodles, naan, chapati, etc.

Japan Chicken | A Popular Dish Served In A Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Recipe Type: Appetiser

Cuisine: Indian

Author: Thasneen

Prep time: 10 mins

Cook time: 35 mins

Total time: 45 mins

Serves: 5 People

Ingredients

For marination

Chicken, boneless- 2 chicken breasts

White pepper powder- 1/2 tsp

Salt- 1/2 tsp

All-purpose flour- 2 tbsp

Corn starch- 3 tbsp

For making sauce

Butter- 1 tbsp

Garlic, chopped- 5 cloves

Green chilies, halved- 3 or upto 5

Milk- 1 1/2 cups

Ground cashew nuts- 1/4 cup

Salt- 1 tsp

White pepper powder- 1/2 tsp

Sugar- 1 tsp

Other ingredients

Oil- enough for frying chicken

Instructions

I’ve taken 2 boneless chicken breasts, dice them up.
