Grind to a smooth paste.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">I&#8217;ve used beetroot leaves for making this, beet leaves can be replaced with spinach, swiss chard or even kale leaves.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">I cooked the pulissery in a claypan, or use a regular saucepan.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Place the claypan over medium heat, let turn hot.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add coconut oil, let turn hot.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add mustard seeds, let them splutter.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add dried red chilies &amp; curry leaves, saute for a few seconds.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add shallots, season with 1 tsp salt.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Cook till shallots turn golden in color.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add beetroot leaves, saute for a few minutes till the leaves turn soft.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the ground coconut, combine well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Rinse the blender jar with 1\/2 cup water &amp; add that.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Cook for a few minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">In a bowl, take the yogurt &amp; combine well using a whisk.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Take the pan off the heat &amp; add the yogurt; combine well thoroughly.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Don&#8217;t add yogurt when the pan is placed on the heat, the yogurt will curdle if the mixture is hot.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Keep the pulissery covered for a few minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Serve as a side dish with rice.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERNutrition\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"endeasyrecipe\" style=\"display: none;\">3.5.3251<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Beet leaves turned into a delicious pulissery&#8230; Pulissery is a popular Kerala-style vegetarian dish, a variety of veggies &amp; fruits can be used for making pulissery &amp; cooked with ground coconut &amp; yogurt.
