I have been drizzling sesame oil to whatever I make.\u00a0 Sometimes sprinkling a dash of roasted sesame seeds on the dishes. The aroma of sesame oil heating up on a pan or seeds getting roasted is driving me insanely crazy. I will breathe in and in until I can hardly breathe in. Not just food, now even my body oil is sesame scented.<\/p>\n<p>Having said that, my husband wasn&#8217;t the least bit surprised when I turned fried rice to Sesame fried rice. If rice, I strongly prefer fried rice. To the fried rice when I drizzled little sesame oil and sprinkled a handful of roasted sesame seeds, this turned out to be sheer ecstasy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sesame Fried Rice<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/thasneen.com\/cooking\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/Sesame-fried-rice-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basmati Rice, washed- 1 1\/2 cups<\/li>\n<li>Water- 2 1\/2 cups<\/li>\n<li>Salt- to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instruction:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To the rice cooker bowl, add the washed rice, water and salt.<\/li>\n<li>Turn on the cook button and let cook.<\/li>\n<li>When it&#8217;s done, remove the rice bowl from the rice cooker and let cool.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Making Sesame fried rice:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sesame oil- 2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Green pepper, chopped- 1<\/li>\n<li>Carrot, finely chopped- 1<\/li>\n<li>Beans, chopped, frozen or fresh- 1\/2 cup<\/li>\n<li>Peas, frozen- 1\/2 cup<\/li>\n<li>Ground pepper- 1\/4 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Soy sauce- 2-3 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Tomato ketchup- 3-4 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Cilantro, chopped- 1 handful<\/li>\n<li>Sesame seeds roasted- 1\/4 cup<\/li>\n<li>Salt- if turns tender and slightly browned.<\/li>\n<li>To the cooked veggies, add the cooked basmati rice and stir fry.<\/li>\n<li>Add the ground pepper, soy sauce, tomato ketchup and combine everything fried rice, substitute butter for sesame oil and for the mild sesame flavor add roasted sesame seeds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Sesame fried rice cake presentation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Transfer the prepared sesame fried rice back to the rice cooker bowl or any bowl of your choice and gently press the top of the rice layer \u00a0with the back of a wooden spoon to make it even.<\/li>\n<li>Cover the rice bowl with a platter and turn upside down, the sesame fried rice would fall on the platter like a cake with the bowl shape.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div
