Noodle stir fry is one of my favorite dishes that can be whipped up pretty easily &amp; can be made in however way we want. I love shrimp noodles better than chicken.<\/p>\n<p>Every time I make noodle stir fry, I improvise my own recipe by adding different sauces, herbs, noodles, etc. I&#8217;ve finally settled on this version that&#8217;s approved by my taste buds &amp; is the best-tasting noodle stir fry.<\/p>\n<p>A few tips to make the noodle stir fry aromatic &amp; tasty:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Add fresh sweet Thai basil, stir fry till aromatic along with ginger &amp; garlic for a few minutes. Adding paprika is optional.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Let marinate for 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">I&#8217;ve taken egg noodles, chow mein noodles can be used.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Fill 3\/4 th of a saucepan with water, cook over medium heat. Let the water warm up, season with 1\/2 tsp salt &amp; add the noodles, cook till noodles turn slightly soft. Avoid over cooking the noodles, will turn mushy.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Drain the water, drizzle 1\/2 tsp sesame oil over the noodles, combine well &amp; keep it aside.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Place a wok over medium heat, add 1 tbsp sesame oil.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Place the marinated shrimp, pan fry for a few minutes till the shrimp has cooked through.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Transfer to a plate &amp; keep aside.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">In the same wok, add 1 tbsp more sesame oil.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add ginger &amp; garlic, stir fry for 2 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the basil, stir fry till aromatic &amp; ginger-garlic turns golden brown in color.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the onion &amp; mixed veggies, stir fry over high heat for a few minutes till veggies have turned soft.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">I like to stir fry till the veggies start to turn light golden brown. Tastes better.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add all the sauces &amp; sambal oelek.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Use low sodium soy sauce, regualr soy sauce is very salty.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Sambal oelek is used in Thai cuisine, it&#8217;s basically ground chili paste.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">If you don&#8217;t have sambal oelek, add ground black pepper or red chili paste or even chili powder for the heat.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Stir fry for 3 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the pan fried shrimp, stir fry for 3 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the cooked noodles, stir fry over high heat for a few minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">If it&#8217;s dry, add a tbsp more soy sauce &amp; stir fry.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Granish with chopped cilantro.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Finally, add a tsp of pure sesame oil &amp; combine well; stir fry for a minute.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Remove the wok from the heat, keep covered for a few minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Serve on a plate, garnish with basil leaves &amp; enjoy.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">This is the best tasting &amp; aromatic shrimip noodle stir fry.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERNutrition\"><\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"ERNotesHeader\">Notes<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERNotes\">Shrimp can be replaced with chicken: boneless chicken breast or thighs.
