I don&#8217;t know how many bags and jars I had bought over the years, it&#8217;s better not to count \ud83d\ude1b If there is a party or just a casual gathering tortilla chips and salsa would be the star snacks and everybody will be seen busy munching them.<\/p>\n<p>Every time I buy salsa from the store, I think to myself to make this in my kitchen. I must say I was too lazy and was quite addicted to the store bought ones.<\/p>\n<p>You could make this few days ahead, store in an air tight container and keep it in the refrigerator.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Homemade Salsa:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tomatoes, chopped- 3<\/li>\n<li>Onion, minced-1\/2 cup<\/li>\n<li>Green pepper, chopped- 1 cup<\/li>\n<li>Red pepper, chopped- 1\/4 cup<\/li>\n<li>Jalapeno peppers, seeded, chopped- 1\/4 cup or depending upon how spicy you want it<\/li>\n<li>Garlic, minced- 2tsp<\/li>\n<li>Tomato paste- 3tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Cumin powder- 1 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Cider Vinegar- 1\/4 cup<\/li>\n<li>Salt- to taste<\/li>\n<li>Cilantro, chopped- 2 handfuls<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instruction:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Place chopped tomatoes, onion, green pepper, red pepper, jalapeno, garlic in a sauce pan.<\/li>\n<li>Add cider vinegar to the veggies, heat it and let come to a boil.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2928 size-full\" title=\"Making salsa\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thasneen.com\/cooking\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/making-salsa.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"475\" height=\"317\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thasneen.com\/cooking\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/making-salsa.jpg 475w, https:\/\/thasneen.com\/cooking\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/making-salsa-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 475px) 100vw, 475px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Simmer for 20-25 minutes until the veggies have turned tender.<\/li>\n<li>Add salt, cumin powder, tomato paste and cilantro to the cooked veggies and simmer for a few more minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Let the mixture thicken.
