Power-packed, rich in protein, nutrients &amp; fiber and has phenomenal medicinal properties.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diabetic-friendly- has the ability to lower high blood sugar.<\/li>\n<li>High in antioxidants.<\/li>\n<li>Prevents kidney stones<\/li>\n<li>Heart-healthy<\/li>\n<li>Helps in weight loss<\/li>\n<li>Great for the bones<\/li>\n<li>Increases your blood hemoglobin due to its high iron content.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Availability:<\/strong> Available at most Indian stores.<\/p>\n<p>After knowing the health benefits of horse gram, I couldn&#8217;t resist including this in my diet. This was the first time I cooked with horse gram. Can be treated like any other lentil or legume &amp; a variety of dishes can be made out of it.<\/p>\n<p>Before cooking, soak the horse gram in water for at least a couple of hours or overnight the better. It&#8217;s a hard legume, soaking will soften the horse gram.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve made a curry of it, also added the super green Kale, harvested from my garden. Healthy, nutritious &amp; tasty horse gram &amp; kale curry. into the stainless steel pot.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Combine well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Close the pot with the lid.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Select pressure cook setting, set time to 30 minutes at high pressure.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">After 30 minutes of pressure cooking, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes.
