In the Instant Pot, first, the marinated beef has to be pressure cooked followed by pressure cooking the basmati rice along with the amazing beef broth &amp; cooked beef. Since the rice is cooked in flavourful beef broth, the rice will taste extremely delicious.<\/p>\n<p>A winning recipe I&#8217;ve been following for many years. keep aside.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Turn on the Instant Pot.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Select Saute setting, temperature should be normal or medium.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add oil, dried bay leaves; saute for a few seconds.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add onions, season with salt; saute for 5 minutes till translucent.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Don&#8217;t brown the onions, this will cause the bottom of the stainless steel pot to turn brown.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add tomatoes, saute for a minute.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the marinated beef.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add mint &amp; cilantro, combine well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Ensure the bottom of the stainless steel hasn&#8217;t turned brown.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Close the pot with the lid.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Select pressure cook setting, set the time to 20 minutes at high pressure.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">After 20 minutes of pressure cooking, let the pressure release naturally for 5 minutes and then do a quick pressure releasse.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Open the lid, aromatic beef &amp; gravy.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">There will be around 1 1\/4 cups liquid in the pot. To be precise you can measure the liquid.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add 1 cup water.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the soaked basmati rice.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">In the Instant Pot, for 2 cups rice, 2 1\/4 cups liquid is required; rice will turn soft.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">I&#8217;ve soaked the saffron in 1 tbsp water for 5 minutes. Add that to the pot.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add mint leaves &amp; cilantro<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add half of the fried onions, garam masala &amp; 1 tsp salt.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Combine everything well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Close the pot with the lid.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Select pressure cook setting, set time to 6 minutes at high pressure.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">After 6 minutes of pressure cooking, do a quick pressure release.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Open the lid, keep the pot covered for 5 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Serve onto plates, garnish with fried onions, roasted cashew nuts &amp; raisins.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Enjoy this aromatic &amp; delicious beef biryani along with raita, pickle &amp; pappad.
