I&#8217;m glad I baked this cake, this is one of the best tasting cakes. Thanks to my sister for inspiring me to bake this cake.<\/p>\n<p>For making this cake, I&#8217;ve baked a simple vanilla cake. Butter cake or pound cake or sponge cake can also be used. Made homemade caramel sauce, homemade praline &amp; whipped cream frosting. It&#8217;s not that hard to make these from scratch. Beat sugar, eggs &amp; vanilla extract till creamy &amp; soft for 5 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add flour mix in 3 additions, alternating with milk &amp; oil.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Beat till well incorporated.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch springform pan.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Bake for 30 minutes, till a fork inserted into the center, comes out clean.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Let the cake cool down completely.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"ERSeparator\">[b]Making Simple Sugar Syrup [\/b]<\/div>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add water to a saucepan placed over medium heat.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add sugar, let the sugar dissolve in water, and water come to a slight boil.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Keep aside the pan, let cool down.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">This can be made ahead of time, the previous day &amp; kept in the refrigerator.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"ERSeparator\">[b]Making Homemade Caramel Sauce[\/b]<\/div>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"instruction\">In a saucepan placed over medium heat, add brown or white sugar.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Let sugar melt, add butter; let the butter melt.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add cream, combine well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Let the sauce turn thick &amp; smooth.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Keep aside the caramel sauce, let cool down completely.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"ERSeparator\">[b]Making Homemade Praline[\/b]<\/div>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Place a non-stick pan over medium heat.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the sugar, let it start to melt.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add butter, combine well. Let it melt.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the chopped nuts, combine well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Immediately, pour on a parchment paper or greased plate.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Spread evenly.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Let cool down and set well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">After the praline cools down, it will solidify.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Break some into bigger chunks and crush the remaining praline. Keep aside.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"ERSeparator\">[b]Making whipped cream caramel frosting[\/b]<\/div>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Into the stand mixer bowl, add the heavy whipping cream &amp; 3 tbsp caramel sauce.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Using the whisk attachment, whip the heavy whipping cream till soft peaks are formed.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Keep the frosting in the refrigerator.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"ERSeparator\">[b]Assembling the cake[\/b]<\/div>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Using a serrated knife, cut the cake into two equal halves.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Drizzle the cake halves with the sugar syrup.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Spread frosting over one of the cake halves.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Spead 1 tbsp crushed praline.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Cover with the other cake half.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Cover the cake with the frosting.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Using an angled or offset spatula, clean up the frosting.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">On the sides of the cake, over the frosting stick the crushed praline.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Transfer caramel sauce into a piping bag.
