After that, cooked onions, tomatoes and added the pan-fried fish to it; finally added coconut milk. Let marinate for 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Turn on the Instant Pot, select Saute setting at Normal temperature. Let Hot sign display.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add 1\/2 cup oil, let oil turn hot.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the fish pieces and pan fry for a few minutes, flip over and let both the sides turn light golden in color. No need to deep fry the fish.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Transfer the pan fried fish to a plate lined with paper towel. Keep aside.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Into the same oil, add onions; season with 1\/2 tsp salt. Cook for 2 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add grated ginger-garlic, green chilies and curry leaves, saute for 2 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add tomatoes, cook for 4 minutes till tomatoes are mashed up.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Make sure the bottom of the pot doesn&#8217;t turn brown, if required add 3 tbsp water to deglaze the bottom of the pan &amp; scrape off any particles stuck to the pan.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add coriander powder and ground black pepper.
