Or use a regular pressure cooker.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">To the stainless steel pot, add chana dal along with 1 1\/2 cups water.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Close the pot with the lid.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Select pressure cook setting.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Set time to 25 minutes at high pressure.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">After 25 minutes of pressure cooking, do a quick pressure release.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Open the lid.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Using a wooden spoon slightly mash the cooked chana dal, don&#8217;t make into a smooth paste.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Let it be coarsely mashed.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Place a saucepan over medium low heat, combine jaggery with water.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Let the jaggery dissolve in water completely. Keep aside the melted jaggery.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">To the mashed chana dal, add the melted jaggery.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Select saute setting at normal temperature.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add 3 tbsp ghee to the chana dal and cook for 5 minutes. keep stirring and ensure the dal doesn&#8217;t get stuck to the bottom of the pot.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the crushed whole cardamoms.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the thin coconut milk, keep stirring, cook till the mixture has slightly thickened.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Have a taste, if you need more sugar add some grated jaggery according to your needs.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">In the meantime, roast cashew nuts, raisins and coconut slices in ghee.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add, the thick coconut milk, combine well and cook for 3 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Finally, add the roasted cashew nuts, raisins &amp; coconut slices, combine well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Remove the pot from the main pot; keep it covered for sometime.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Serve in a dessert bowl and enjoy.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">This is one of the desserts served in Kerala Sadya.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERNutrition\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"endeasyrecipe\" style=\"display: none;\">3.5.3251<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chana dal cooked with jaggery &amp; coconut milk, a sweet dish made in the Instant Pot&#8230; Pradhaman is a Kerala specialty dessert made with coconut milk &amp; jaggery is used for sweetening this dessert.
