Basmati rice has to be used, it&#8217;s the most flavorful rice. Keep aside.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Turn on Instant Pot.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Select Saute mode at Normal temperature.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add coconut oil and dried bay leaf.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add onions, seaosn with salt.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add grated garlic, ginger and green chili halved.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Combine well and saute onions for 2 minutes. No need to cook till onions turn golden.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add tomato, combine well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add marinated beef.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add 1\/2 cup water and chopped cilantro.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Close the pot with the lid.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Select pressure cook setting, set time to 20 minutes at high pressure.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">If using 7 in 1 DUO IP: turn pressure valve to sealing.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">While beef is being cooked, soak the rice in water for 15 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">After 20 minutes of pressure cooking, do a quick pressure release.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Open the lid, beef will be cooked well along with flavourful gravy.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">For cooking 3 cups basmati rice, 3 1\/4 cups liquid is required.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">You can measure the amount of liquid in the pot. I had to add 1\/2 cup more water.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Rinse the soaked rice taken in a strainer, drain the water.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the rice to the cooked beef and gravy.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add 1\/2 tsp more salt, taste the gravy and add salt according to your needs.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add chopped cilantro.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Close the pot with the lid.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Select pressure cook setting, set time to 6 minutes at high pressure.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">minutes of pressure cooking will make the basmati rice soft. 5 minutes of cooking rice will be crisp.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">After 6 minutes of cooking, do a quick pressure release.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Open the lid.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Fluff the beef and rice with a spoon.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">If you find the rice to be crisp, close the pot with the lid and let stand for 15 minutes (do not turn on the IP).
