Hard-boiled eggs combined with onion-tomato masala is a popular breakfast dish in Kerala, India. Immediately immerse the eggs in a bowl filled with ice cold water. This is to stop the cooking and will help to peel off the shells easily.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Keep aside for 5 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Peel off the shells, rinse the hard-boiled eggs under running water to ensure minute shells are not clinging to the eggs.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Keep aside the hard-boiled eggs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"ERSeparator\">[b]Making Egg roast [\/b]<\/div>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Select Saute Mode- at MediumTemperature.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Let Hot sign appear on the display.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add coconut oil.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add sliced onions, season with 1\/2 tsp salt. Saute for 2 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add chopped ginger, garlic, green chilies, and curry leaves. Combine well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Cook till onions turn light golden in color: for 5 minutes, stirring continuously.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add tomatoes, cook till they are mashed up.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">If the bottom of the stainless steel pot is turning brown, add 1\/4 cup water and combine well and cook.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Ensure to stir the onion-tomato mixture continuously to prevent from sticking to the bottom of the pot.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Let the onion &amp; tomatoes cook well, this will take a few minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala and 1 tsp salt. Combine well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Cook for 2 minutes until well incorporated.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Using a sharp knife, put a few lines on the hard-boiled eggs so that the masala will get into the eggs, add the eggs to the cooked onion-tomato mixture.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Cover the eggs with the masala.
