Especially, these days after I get back from work I\u00a0only feel like making one pot dishes. I just have to mix everything together and a delicious dish will be ready in not time.<\/p>\n<p>The other day,\u00a0I tried making cracked wheat biryani. I had ground beef, so first I made ground beef masala and then combined it with cooked cracked wheat. Add 2 cups cracked wheat and 2 1\/2 cups water seaosned with salt to a saucepan and cook covered for 15 to 20 minutes till water has dried up and cracked wheat has cooked well. Keep aside the cooked cracked wheat.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">In a food processor, grind: garlic, ginger and green chilies into a coarse paste. Keep aside.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Place a large wide non-stick pan over medium heat, add oil.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add whole cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and bay leaves, saute for a second.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add ground ginger, garlic and chilies, saute till they turn golden brown.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add onions, season with salt and cook till onions turn golden in color.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add tomatoes, cook till they are mashed up.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add garam masala, chili powder, turmeric powder, fennel powder, coriander powder and salt, combine well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add ground beef, combine well without any lumps.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Cook covered till ground beef is no longer pink and has cooked well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add cilantro and mint leaves.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Cook till ground beef has turned light brown in color, tastes better when it&#8217;s browned.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Taste and add more salt or chili powder for spice if needed.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the cooked cracked wheat in small amounts and combine well with the ground beef masala till you have added the entire cracked wheat.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Drizzle ghee over the cracked wheat ground beef biryani.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Garnish with fried onions and keep covered for 15 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Before serving, combine everything together and serve on a plate.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Serve along with raita- yogurt mixed with tomato, onion, cucumber and salt.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERNutrition\"><\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"ERNotesHeader\">Notes<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERNotes\">If you want more spice, increase the chili powder accordingly.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"endeasyrecipe\" style=\"display: none;\">3.5.3251<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ground beef and cracked wheat or bulgur wheat combined together in the form of biryani, delicious&#8230; As you all know that I love one pot dishes.
