Well, this is not that, this drumstick is vegetarian and is a long rod-shaped veggie that is found hanging on drumstick trees.<\/p>\n<p>India being the largest producer of moringa or drumsticks, it&#8217;s used widely in cooking. Drumstick trees are seen in the backyard of most houses in South India. The leaves, the drumstick, even the flowers can be used for cooking. It&#8217;s like a medicinal plant, the leaves and drumstick are rich in iron and have remarkable health benefits. Drumsticks can be added to curries or can be stir-fried with coconut. This is my favorite way of cooking drumstick.<\/p>\n<p>In North America, drumsticks are available at Indian stores and some Asian stores. If lucky, you will find fresh drumsticks, otherwise, check the frozen veggie aisle. Last weekend, I got frozen drumstick from the Indian store and made Kerala style thoran with it. Don&#8217;t overcook them.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the coarsely ground coconut, combine well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add chili powder &amp; salt; combine well.
