I had a golden opportunity to witness the transit of Venus, the Astronomy department in my University hosted a special event and they opened their observatory for public. It was very crowded and even kids from many schools came there to get a glimpse. Everyone was extremely thrilled and excited to be a part of such a rare and spectacular event. As soon as I came to know about this event which was a few weeks ago, I had instantly marked my calendar. I didn&#8217;t wanted to miss this as the next transit will happen only after 105 years, so obviously this is the only chance I&#8217;ll ever have \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Ever since I was a kid I have been always amazed by the planets, celestial bodies, moon and space related things. I still remember how I used to shoot all my silly questions about these to my grandpa, he was in deed very patient and explained everything so well. Well, one of my dreams which I know will never be true is to be an astronomer and to make a visit to the moon. No kidding, if I ever get an invitation from any of the astronomers to visit moon, I would gladly accompany them \ud83d\ude42 Keep dreaming, right???<\/p>\n<p>They had a huge telescope and they projected the image of the Sun to a filter, hence we were able to see the transit of Venus. It was like a beauty spot, very tiny black spot. Had it not been for the telescope and the observatory, it would have been impossible for me to see it. This is a slightly sweet and spicy shrimp dish along with snap peas. I always feel that shrimp and snap peas gets along so well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sweet and Spicy Shrimp with Snap Peas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10938\" title=\"shrimp and snap peas\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thasneen.com\/cooking\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/shrimp-and-snap-peas.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"475\" height=\"317\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thasneen.com\/cooking\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/shrimp-and-snap-peas.jpg 475w, https:\/\/thasneen.com\/cooking\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/shrimp-and-snap-peas-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/thasneen.com\/cooking\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/shrimp-and-snap-peas-84x55.jpg 84w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 475px) 100vw, 475px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>To cook shrimp:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shrimp, deveined and deshelled- 25<\/li>\n<li>Ground pepper- 1\/2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Salt- very little<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>While cooking:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oil- 2 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Shallots, chopped long- 3 large<\/li>\n<li>Snap Peas, strings removed from the sides- 1 packet<\/li>\n<li>Green Pepper, cut into thin wedges- 1 (optional)<\/li>\n<li>Sambal Oelek- 1 1\/2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Soy Sauce, low-sodium- 2 to 3 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Ground pepper- 1\/4 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Brown sugar- 1 1\/2 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Black Sesame seeds- 3 tbsp<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instruction<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Devein and de-shell the shrimp, combine with ground pepper and little salt, cook in a large pan till it has\u00a0cooked well.
