  • King fish, round cuts or use any kind of fish
  • Coconut oil- ¼ cup
  • Curry leaves- 2 sprigs
For making marinade
  • Kashmiri chili powder- 2 tsp
  • Chili powder- ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder- ⅛ tsp
  • Ground black pepper- ½ tsp
  • Salt- 1½ tsp
  • Oil- ½ tbsp
  • Water- 2 to 3 tbsp
Instructions
  1. I've taken king fish- Neymeen. Any kind of fish can be used.
  2. To a bowl, add all the ingredients for making the marinade, add just enough water to make a smooth thick paste.
  3. Spread the marinade all over the fish & give it a nice Kerala massage 😛
  4. Let the fish rest for 15 minutes.
  5. Place a frying pan or cast iron skillet over medium heat.
  6. Add coconut oil & add curry leaves.
  7. Curry leaves will impart a nice aroma to the fried fish.
  8. Place the marinated fish in the oil & pan fry till both sides have cooked well & turn crispy & brown.
  9. Transfer to a plate, garnish with curry leaves.
