Fried Lotus Roots - Crispy & Delicious

- Lotus roots, cut into round shape
- Kashmiri chili powder- ½ tsp
- Regular hot chili powder- ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder- ⅛ tsp
- Ground black pepper- ¼ tsp
- Salt- ½ tsp
- Coconut oil- ½ cup
- Curry leaves- 1 sprig
- Frozen lotus root is available at the Indian store.
- Take the frozen lotus roots in a strainer & rinse under running water.
- Add them to a bowl & add all the spices.
- You can add any spices or seasonings of your choice, combine well.
- Place a frying pan over medium heat, add enough coconut oil for frying.
- Add the seasoned lotus roots & curry leaves.
- Fry till they turn crispy & golden brown.
- Transfer to a plate lined with paper towel.
- Enjoy the crispy fried lotus roots, it has a slight sweet & nutty taste.
