Ingredients
  • Coconut Oil- 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
  • Dried red chilies- 2
  • Curry leaves- 1 sprig
  • Onions, chopped- 1
  • Salt- 1½ tsp
  • Green chilies, chopped- 1 or 2
  • Ginger, minced- ½ tbsp
  • Water- 2 cups
  • Cracked wheat- 1½ cups
Instructions
  1. Place a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add oil, mustard seeds let splutter.
  3. Add dried red chilies & curry leaves.
  4. Add onions, season with salt.
  5. Add green chilies & ginger.
  6. Cook till onions turn light golden in color.
  7. Add water, let the water boil.
  8. Add cracked wheat, keep stirring & combine well.
  9. Cook covered for a few minutes till the wheat turns soft.
  10. Remove the pan from the heat, keep covered for sometime.
