Ingredients
For pressure cooking
  • Onion, finely chopped- 1
  • Ginger-Garlic paste- 1 tbsp
  • Tomatoes, finely chopped- 2
  • Boneless chicken breasts or thighs, diced- 2 breasts or thighs
  • Tomato paste- 2 tbsp
  • Kashmiri chili powder- 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala- 1 tsp
  • Salt- 1½ tsp
After pressure-cooking
  • Butter, unsalted- 1 tbsp
  • Cream- 2 tbsp
  • Sugar- ½ tsp
  • Dried fenugreek leaves- 1 to 2 tbsp (optional)
  • Cilantro, chopped- ΒΌ cup
Instructions
  1. To the stainless steel pot, dump all the ingredients mentioned 'for pressure cooking'.
  2. Combine well.
  3. Close the pot with the lid.
  4. Select pressure cook setting, set the time to 5 minutes at high pressure.
  5. After 5 minutes of pressure cooking, do a quick pressure release.
  6. Open the lid.
  7. Combine the cooked chicken with the gravy.
  8. Add butter, sugar & cream, combine well.
  9. Taste & add salt if required.
  10. Add dried fenugreek leaves & cilantro. Combine well.
  11. Remove the stainless steel pot from the main pot, keep it covered for 5 minutes.
  12. Serve butter chicken along with basmati rice, naan or roti.
  13. This is a finger-licking & delicious butter chicken.
