Caramel Milk Tea Recipe | Indian Chai Flavoured With Cardamom & Ginger

Ingredients
For making 1 serving
White sugar or coconut sugar- 1 tbsp
Water- ¼ cup
Whole cardamom- 2
Ginger, grated- 1 tsp
Ground tea powder- 1 tbsp
Saffron- 3 strands (optional)
Milk- 1 cup
Instructions
Place a saucepan over medium heat.
Add sugar, I've made this tea with both white sugar & coconut sugar, both versions turned out delish.
After adding the sugar, don't stir the sugar, let the sugar melt completely & turn golden brown in color.
Add water, be careful while adding water it will be very hot.
Add whole cardamom, ginger & ground tea powder.
Combine well using a silicone spatula.
Let the tea brew for a couple of minutes.
Add milk, combine well.
Add saffron strands, adding saffron is optional. However, it will make the tea rich & tasty.
Let the milk come to a boil.
Take the pan off the heat & strain the tea to a stainless steel glass or bowl.
To make the tea frothy, pour the tea back and froth between the bowl & cup.
Pour the tea to a cup with the foam on the top.
