Instructions
I've taken 2 boneless chicken breasts, dice them up. This dish has to be prepared with boneless chicken.
In a bowl, add the chicken & add all the ingredients mentioned 'for marination'. Combine well.
White pepper powder is very mild compared to black pepper powder.
Place a frying pan over medium heat, add enough oil for deep frying & let the oil turn hot.
Add the marinated chicken & deep fry over medium heat.
Flip it over & fry till both the sides have turned golden brown.
Transfer to a plate lined with kitchen paper towel.
The fried chicken will be super crispy as we have added corn starch.
In a spice blender, grind the cashew nuts to fine powder.
Place a wide saucepan over medium heat, add butter.
Don't replace butter with oil, butter will make this dish very tasty.
Add chopped garlic, saute for 2 minutes.
Add green chilies halved, saute for 2 minutes.
Don't skip adding garlic & green chilies.
If you want this dish to be spicy, add up to 5 green chilies.
Add milk, combine well.
Add the ground cashew nuts & keep stirring there will be some lumps, break the lumps & constantly combine well.
Add salt, white pepper powder & sugar, combine well.
Let the sauce cook for a few minutes.
Add the fried chicken to the sauce, combine well & cook for 3 minutes.
Transfer to a bowl.
This a thick dish, if you want more gravy add more milk while making the sauce.
It's rich, creamy, I loved the addition of garlic & the green chilies imparted a nice heat to this dish.
This can be enjoyed as an appetizer or with basmati rice, noodles, naan, chapati, etc.
