How to Make Restaurant Style Butter Chicken in the Instant Pot- Easy & Popular Indian Curry Recipe

Oil- 1 tbsp Onion, finely chopped- 1 Ginger-Garlic paste- 1 tbsp Tomatoes, finely chopped- 2 Kashmiri chili powder- ½ tbsp Note: also add ½ to 1 tsp regular chili powder if you want it spicy Chicken breasts or thighs, diced- 2 breasts or thighs Tomato paste- 2 tbsp Garam Masala- 1 tsp Butter, unsalted- 1 tbsp Sugar- 1 tsp Cream- ½ cup Dried fenugreek leaves- 1 to 2 tbsp (optional) Cilantro, chopped- ¼ cup Salt- 1 tsp Turn on the Instant Pot Select saute setting at medium temperature. Add oil to the hot stainless steel pot. Add onion, season with ½ tsp salt; saute for 2 minutes. Add ginger-garlic paste, cook for 1 minute. Add tomatoes, cook for 2 minutes. Add Kashmiri chili powder, combine well. If you want this curry to be spicy, add ½ to 1 tsp chili powder. Add chicken, combine well. Add ½ tsp salt. Close the pot with the lid. Select pressure cook setting- set the time to 8 minutes at high pressure. After 8 minutes of pressure cooking, do a quick pressure release. Open the lid. Combine the cooked chicken with the gravy. Add tomato paste & garam masala, combine well. Select saute setting at medium temperature. Add butter, sugar & cream, combine well. Cook for 2 minutes. Taste & add salt if required. Add dried fenugreek leaves & cilantro. Combine well. Remove the stainless steel pot from the main pot, keep it covered for 5 minutes. Serve butter chicken along with basmati rice, naan or roti. This is a finger-licking & delicious butter chicken.
